At the present time, the Microsoft Office suite of applications are the tools most commonly used by knowledge workers throughout the world. Accordingly, HUCE offers two sets of courses that cover these important applications -- one set for beginners who have little or no experience using these programs, and a comprehensive set of courses for savvy users who want to enhance their skills.

This class will give students a working knowledge of databases, what they are and how to use them. Students will learn to view data in a database and change the view by sorting and filtering the data. Students will create a database and learn to define forms for inputs and reports for summarizing the data. Students will learn to create queries to view a subset of data in the database. Students will create charts to display data and a switchboard to manage their database application. Students will need a basic understanding of Windows to complete this class.
